In 36 States, you must allow your employees to vote while they are at work

It’s possible you are unaware, but tomorrow the U.S. will hold an important election. If you live in a battleground, then you are probably sick and tired of the tensions. You may have received so many text messages from the Kamala-Harris or Donald Trump camp that you are seriously considering giving up your phone.

It’s possible that you think “My state allows early voting and mail-in voting so I don’t need to give time off for my employees to vote.” While this may be true in some states, it is not always the case. Employers are required by most states to allow their employees time to vote. This can be done by either allowing them time off or ensuring they have enough time in their shifts to do so.
