LoopMe UK’s new consumer data provides insights into AI adoption and the tech sector workforce

London, 18th of July 2025. New research by LoopMe reveals that 27% UK consumers currently use AI tools. The 18-34 age group is leading the way, with 40% of them reporting that they use AI tools actively. This is nearly twice the rate for those aged 55-64. The opportunity to build loyalty among the early adopters of AI is huge.

The report found that AI has already played a part in everyday life, despite its limited uptake. Around one-quarter (24%) of AI users use it for their personal research and 20% to do work. ChatGPT, the UK’s most popular AI tool, is used by one-third (33%) of AI users. Some of the other AI tools that are being used include:

  • Google Gemini – 19%

  • Microsoft Copilot – 14%

  • Meta AI – 13%

  • Amazon Q – 10%

  • Apple Intelligence – 10%

LoopMe’s analysis revealed important insights about tech professionals.

  • The 25-34 age group is more than twice the likelihood of any other age to work in the tech industry, making it an ideal demographic for companies looking to accelerate technology adoption and accuracy.

  • Brands that want to accelerate workplace adoption of new tools and platforms should target the half of tech workers who identify themselves as key decision makers within their organizations.

While businesses are still developing strategies to integrate AI in the UK the next generation is already leading the way,” said Sarah Tims AVP Marketing of LoopMe. Brands can tap into a young audience that is already using these tools in their personal and professional lives. The public’s education and training will also play a major role in increasing AI awareness and its effectiveness.
