Top 10 HR Questions March 2025 – Carrying forward annual leave


Since many annual leave years run from April until the end of the month of March, employers ask if holiday can be carried forward into the following year if the employee has not used it by the 31st March.

In 2024, the rules regarding carryover of unused statutory leaves will change. In the top 10 questions for March, one of the questions asks about the conditions under which employees can carry over their unused leave and the deadline by which they must use it.
