I was hired as the first HR manager by a small electrical contractor who had never before had an HR department. He said he truly appreciates his staff but wants someone to be focused on them. I’m going to start by asking them what they like about working at the company and what needs to be improved. I am trying to determine how to go about this and have some questions.
1. How do I introduce myself to employees?
2. Do you believe a survey would be a good idea to conduct? What questions should we ask, since this is our first meeting?
