Employers are asked to share their insights on menstrual hygiene and endometriosis at work

Ciphr and Endometriosis UK, the largest charity in the UK supporting those affected by endometriosis have launched a survey to explore how workplaces are supporting menstrual hygiene and conditions like endometriosis.

This survey is open to HR professionals and business owners. Ciphr will publish the results in the summer, along with Endometriosis UK and an Endometriosis Friendly employer.

The survey results will also be used to help Endometriosis UK develop future support.

Claire Williams, Chief People and Operations Officer at Ciphr says: “HR professionals are uniquely positioned to understand their organization, particularly when it comes workplace policies, the facilities and level of training and resources available to managers and employees. This research provides an opportunity to dig deeper into the ways employers support their employees in managing their health while at work, and to gain a better insight into what else may be needed.

We’re thrilled to be working with Endometriosis UK for this study. I encourage HR professionals and business owners in the UK to share your experiences.

Julie Burns is the manager of Endometriosis Friendly employers at Endometriosis UK. She says, “We are delighted that Ciphr has committed to becoming an Endometriosis Friendly employer. We’re also pleased that they have collaborated with us in order to gather more information on what HR professionals and businesses owners know about menstrual hygiene, how they help those with endometriosis thrive in the workplace and any gaps in their knowledge.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts. We will be analyzing the results of this survey to help us improve our Endometriosis-Friendly Employer program and other initiatives.

The survey should take around six minutes and will close on Monday, 23 June. To take part in the survey, please visit: https://www.ciphr.com/infographics/menstrual-health-and-endometriosis-in-the-workplace-survey

Ciphr became a member of Endometriosis UK’s Endometriosis Friendly employer scheme in the first half of this year. Endometriosis UK, the UK’s leading charity for endometriosis sufferers and women with the condition at birth, is committed to promoting the rights and needs.

Find more information on the Endometriosis Friendly Employer scheme at www.endometriosis-uk.org/endometriosis-friendly-employer-scheme. Bowel Cancer UK has also made a commitment, as have People’s Postcode Lottery and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

Ciphr, the UK’s leading provider of HR and payroll solutions and software for large and medium-sized organisations, is the preferred partner in the UK. The integrated software, services, and content of its HR, payroll and benefits, learning, and recruitment departments provide valuable insights for HR teams. This helps them to develop and grow their organisation and inform their people strategies. Ciphr, based in Reading is on a quest to amplify the voice and value HR by providing intelligent solutions for people data. This will help HR be heard in the boardroom as well as across the organisation.
