Managers and business owners find it difficult to fire people. Terminations may also expose you to legal action. You may be sued by employees who claim you fired them due to their race, gender or other protected characteristics.
Sometimes managers use underhanded tactics to force people to resign. Yes, there is a legal claim that an employee can make of something called “constructive dismissal.” The employee must prove that the employer has created an hostile working environment in which no reasonable person could stay.
