Google’s new performance evaluations could help your company

Several tech companies have taken the rare step in recent weeks of stating their internal performance expectations very publicly. Intel outlined a plan to its employees. Jack Dorsey made the same move at Block in March. Google has joined in. Using an evaluation model which rewards top performers while remaining budget neutral.

Google announced that it would reward the top performers with higher rates in a way that was budget neutral. The top performers would get higher rewards if the lower performers were paid less.
