New Jersey wants to ban companies from ghosting job candidates. It’s a terrible idea

Boo! This is the spooky time when ghosts are everywhere. But some ghosts will soon be unwelcome. New Jersey has brought forward a bill that would ban companies from ghosting job candidates. Tinder users are on their own.

The Newsletter of Nick Corcodilas, Headhunter for, brought to my attention this new bill. He wrote:

Ghosting is a trick that employers, recruiters, and job boards are using to fool job seekers.

The proposed legislation would force New Jersey businesses, despite their dislike for it, to do things that they may hate but which job seekers might love. This includes:
