This is some radical honesty: I didn’t know who Simu Liu until I read his thread about his use of radical transparency in LinkedIn. He’s an actor known for his roles in Barbi and Marvel’s Shang Chi. Kim’s Convenience is also a popular film. Barbie is on my list, as are a few episodes of Kim’s Convenience. Shang Chi will probably not make it to the top of my must-see movie list.
I’ve had enough of my radical honesty. How would Liu describe his radical honesty? For him, it is about highlighting his flaws. , for example, he describes his experience with Deloitte in the following way:
Job was mediocre. Was fired after skipping work to become an extra in a Guillermo del Toro film called Pacific Rim. A personal existential crisis led to an epiphany about what success means on your own terms. Instead, he became an actor.
It’s funny. Look, I love humor. The world is aggressively stodgy today. I love a good laugh. This type of radical honesty has consequences.
