It’s the employer’s job to manage your employees’ salaries, and raise requests. GenZ is a bit irrational when it comes to salary.
A new survey shows how many Gen Zers are out of touch with reality. In the survey from Pollfish software, 750 Gen Zers without children who work full-time were asked about their finances and income. The results were both fascinating and alarming.
Keep in mind that these are small samples, but check out some of the results.
- One hundred percent of those who earn $30,000 per year thought their pay was fair.
- One hundred percent of people earning more than $30,000 per year feel they are paid too little.
- Those who feel underpaid are:
- Around 9 percent of respondents believe that they should receive up to $40,000.
- 17 percent of respondents expect to earn between $40,000 and $50,000.
- Twenty percent of respondents want between $50,000 and $75,000
- 35 percent of respondents believe that they should earn between $70,00 and $100,000.
- Twenty percent of respondents believe they should receive more than $100,000.
- 40% of respondents say that they are unable to meet their basic needs
- The average monthly expenditure of those who claim they can’t meet their basic needs is $372.
Even if it’s you who has to provide the education, it’s time to get some financial literacy.
