Praxis, a vertically integrated UK Real Estate platform, announced the appointment of Rosamund King, Chief People Officer and Andrew Robinson, Managing Director, Capital Markets. This is part of a series senior hires that are aimed at strengthening the senior management team in order to support the growth of the business.
Over 100 professionals are working in three UK offices. Praxis is committed to increasing its business’s capacity to take full advantage of the generational shift in real estate, both for occupiers as well as investors. It has also secured new senior talent, particularly in the areas such of investment, capital relations, and operational infrastructure.
Andrew Robinson, who has over 20 years’ experience in the capital markets, will be responsible for developing Praxis’ fundraising strategy. He will be working closely with Graham Barnes (Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships), who joined Praxis earlier this year. They will leverage their combined experience to expand and deepen Praxis’ range of capital partners in support of the firm’s growth strategy.
Andrew joined Resolution Property from Lipton Rogers Developments where he served as Investment Director. He was also Managing Director of Capital Markets & Investments. He began his career with Morgan Stanley, where he worked for 16 years in the Investment Banking Division. Later, he established the Alternative Investment Partners Real Estate Platform, and played a key role in raising $1.5bn to fund value-add and opportunistic real estate strategies.
Andrew stated: I’ve been impressed by Praxis’ track record since its inception, and look forward to sharing this with a wider investor base eager to learn about the potential returns from the business’ vertically integrated model. The conditions are ideal to pursue Praxis’ ambitious growth plans, and I am excited to bring my experience to bear and help achieve these goals.
Rosamund King, who has been appointed Chief People Officer by Praxis, will join the five-strong Group Board, led by CEO Mark Harrison. She is responsible for all human resources functions within Praxis and the implementation of a strategic HR Framework that supports and drives Praxis’ growth goals. Rosamund King has been leading the people agenda for over 15 years. She began her career in recruitment in the financial services sector and then moved on to senior positions in banking and professional service.
Rosamund said: I was drawn to Praxis because of its clearly defined and permeating values. This gave me the challenge of maintaining the identity of the business as it scales. It is a great opportunity to assume this role at a time of rapid growth, and to lead initiatives that improve employee engagement, performance, and career development, while promoting a culture that encourages people to grow their careers.
In a statement about the two new recruits, James Hewitt said: We are pleased to welcome Andrew to the team, as we position Praxis to take advantage our pipeline of opportunities identified across the UK Commercial Real Estate Market. Rosamund’s role will be to protect the corporate structure and maintain the unique culture of the company as we grow. Andrew’s inclusion in our capital markets team, with solid foundations already established, will be crucial to attracting new investment and building valuable relationships. “I am thrilled to welcome these high-calibre professionals onboard.”
Keen Partners advised Praxis in relation the appointment Andrew Robinson, and Frazer Jones in regard to the nomination of Rosamund Queen.
