Shortlist for 2024 Culture Pioneer Awards announced

The digital HR publication HRZone has revealed the finalists of its 2024 Culture Pioneer Awards. This programme is dedicated to celebrating workplace culture changes.

The Culture Pioneer Awards, now in their fifth year of existence, recognizes organisations and leaders who have made a significant and lasting impact on the culture of an organisation. The mission of the Culture Pioneer Awards is to recognize achievements in the (often difficult) journey to culture change – and not just to celebrate the “best” workplaces. This year five categories will be celebrated: Wellbeing (including Inclusion), Learning, Brand, and Leadership (new this year).

The following are the finalists of the Culture Pioneer Awards for 2024:

  • Wellbeing Award: Correla Ltd, Ingeus UK, Lawline, Pharmacist Support, Travel + Leisure
  • Inclusion award: Cadent Gas Ltd., Ingeus UK. Travel + Leisure. Victoria and Albert Museum
  • Learning Awards:LV=, Nine Feet Tall (Liverpool Victoria Financial Services), Progeny Travel + Leisure, United Trust Bank and Wales Air Ambulance
  • Brand Awards:Jones and Palmer. Mayden. The People Experience Hub. Planer Ltd. Siderise. Wurzak Hotel Group.
  • Leadership Award: Anu Mandapati, Magic Leap; Cheryl Allen, Atos; Rosie Hewat, Kuda Technologies Limited; Yasmine Alani, Media Zoo

Becky Norman is the managing editor at HRZone, and creator of Culture Pioneers. She says that this year’s Culture Pioneers finalists showed a genuine passion for creating better organizational cultures. “Those selected were transparent in their initial challenges. They demonstrated a business-aligned approach and took bold, experimental steps during the implementation process. This hard work has paid off, in terms of performance, engagement, retention, talent attraction, and financial growth. “The inspirational journeys of 2024 Culture Pioneers have not disappointed!”

Blaire Palmer (Culture Pioneers judge and CEO of That People Thing, author of Punks in Suits) commented on the new category of leadership:

Culture Pioneers launched the Leadership Award in 2014 to recognize leaders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to build thriving workplace cultures that put people first. As a judge in this new category, I was inspired by the leaders we selected, who displayed both their strengths as well as vulnerabilities while navigating complex business and human challenges. It is true that culture is created by many people, but it is also often the individual who is pushing for positive changes.

The winners will also be announced during the Culture Pioneers Leadership Forum featuring Disrupt London on 13th November in central London. The full event details will be announced shortly. Interested parties can sign up to the Culture Pioneers email list in order to be among the first to know.

After the announcement of the winners, HRZone is publishing the 2024 Cultural Pioneers eBook. This eBook will feature the inspiring stories, achievements, and key takeaways that came out of the award programme.

HRZone’s Cultural Pioneers program is proudly sponsored by Breathe, TCM Group and media partners TrainingZone and Workplace Wellbeing Professional, as well as sponsors Breathe, HRReview, and Workplace Wellbeing Professional.
